JOB OPENING, KAILUA | ACOUSTICAL CONSULTANT: PROJECT or SENIOR ENGINEER
CENSEO AV+Acoustics is an acoustical engineering and Audio/Visual (AV) design consulting firm established in 2012. Corporate headquarters are located in Kailua, Hawaii with satellite offices in Denver, Seattle and Tucson. At CENSEO, we are continually working to meet the growing demand for state-of-the-art technologies by offering industry-leading AV design and acoustical consulting services. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individuals.
The acoustical consultant engineer position contributes to the design and development of a wide range of projects including performing arts centers, high rise and resorts, municipal, educational facilities, healthcare, military, and more. The position includes involvement in all phases of the design process, from project proposal to final systems checkout. Primary responsibilities include the ability to manage a project from beginning to end with minimal guidance is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acoustical Design
- Prepare reports and communicate directly with clients
- Analyze and collect acoustic, noise, and vibration data
- Prepare calculations, design drawings, and system specifications
- Project management and successful implementation
- Follow CENSEO’s protocol and quality standards
- Participate in marketing and business development efforts
- Commit to working knowledge and small business growth
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in acoustics
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, acoustics, or a closely related field
- Project experience in room acoustics, sound isolation, and noise and vibration control
- Field experience with acoustical measurement
- Understanding of acoustics standards and measurements
- Experience interpreting building drawings and specs
- Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, CadnaA, EASE, and other sound modeling software
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage projects
- Passion for AV and acoustics, building/construction, and design
- Desire to contribute to and grow with our CENSEO team
