What is your favorite hobby?
I love everything creative! You name it – I have tried it, but my favorite is painting. I love to paint watercolors especially, which such beautiful scenery here in Colorado – there is so much to capture in paintings, and never enough time.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I was once the Executive Director of an Audubon Nature Center in California that had a visitors’ center. There were several occasions where I had to “sub” for one of the naturalists who was sick and was scheduled to do a presentation. At the last minute, I would have to handle a variety of animals, such as rattle snakes, a crow that talked, ferrets, a crow that talked, an owl, kestrel….and many more. I learned a lot about the wild and conservation through this job, something I will always treasure.
What is a skill you’d like to learn and why?
Carpentry! I would love to build a tiny home in the mountains just to hang out whenever time allows. Having been in an administrative support or management roles my whole life, building things and seeing the results of your labor is so rewarding.
