University of Hawaii at Hilo – The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy
The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy new construction met the demand for a high-tech college of pharmacy in the Pacific Rim, offering classrooms that accommodate applied learning, high-fidelity simulations, and allow for distance AV communications. AV components included simulation labs allowing students a hands-on approach to learning with touchscreen capabilities. Lab and classroom AV capabilities included the ability to incorporate interaction between classrooms, live interaction with distance instructors, and access to educational programming.

Architect: WCIT Architecture
Program: Construction budget of 31 m for the 45,000 sf project, state-of-the-art technology including 4K projection, wall-mount screens and touchscreen controls, and distance learning equipment. Project is set to achieve LEED Silver certification.
