Where did you grow up?
My family (six generations!) is from a small mountain town near Monarch Ski area, in Salida, CO. It’s in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, so LOTS of snow. I wasn’t an avid fan of the long winters when I was young, but now, I venture that way for a relaxing escape and time with family.
What is your favorite hobby?
Skiing is my favorite hobby; hiking is a close second.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
Most people don’t know that I grew up riding horses. We had Velvet, Sunny, and a pony named Ginger. Velvet’s barrel racing skills were a guaranteed blue ribbon at the county fair – I was just along for the ride.
If you could escape for one day, where would you go?
Sometimes I just want to go home. That gets complicated because I split my time between Colorado and Hawaii. Sometimes, the comforts of “home” aren’t anywhere nearby 😉
What are you most afraid of?
Spiders – it’s something innate and mostly irrational. I’m working on it. More embarrassing…the Giant Canyon Swing at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, CO. I love thrill rides. Not this one.
